This Install walks it into a salon, chair by chair, where the owner is also the highest paid stylist in the building and the tax hides in the gaps between foils. What actually goes on the card, why booth renters do not break the tool, and the one page Front Desk Decision Card that hands the circled item off for good.

Dana runs the card for a week between clients. By Friday it tells her exactly which task to hand off first, and the handoff fits on one page. Same tool as Monday, walked into a different building.
What Goes on the Card
In a salon the owner tax does not show up as interruptions. It shows up as squeezing, because every owner task happens in the gaps between clients. Rebuilding Thursday between foils. Ordering color at nine at night. Seven little questions at four minutes each is half an hour a day that leaves without saying goodbye. Write the task and the minutes, both halves.
The Friday Circle
Count the card and circle the most frequent item, not the biggest. In most salons the circle lands on front desk judgment calls: who can be moved, do we take the walk-in, is this a redo or a comp. The fix is the Front Desk Decision Card: rebooking rules on top, the walk-in rule in the middle, the money at the bottom. One page, or it is a manual, and nobody reads a manual on a Saturday.
The Handoff
Ninety minutes, a named person, one page. Jess reads the card back in her own words, then makes every call on it for two weeks and reports after, not before. If a call goes sideways, they fix the page, not the person. And the first time the page costs 40 dollars, Dana backs her in front of the room, because the page is only real after the first person survives using it.
